I remembered this wonderful quote from Martha Graham this week. She was a legendary American dancer and teacher. Over coffee, a colleague was talking about Balance and my mind went to dance, then Martha.

The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how it compares with other expression. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open" - Martha Graham
It's not your business to compare yourself to others. It breeds discontent and robs you of your joy and growth. We're all unique, each life path shaped by personal experiences, challenges, and victories. Your path is your own, and it’s perfectly imperfect! Focusing on others can lead to feelings of inadequacy and jealousy.
